Planes of Fame, in Chino

My cousin, Sammy, came to visit me a few years ago. We had a great time at Planes of Fame in Chino.
There were jets, jet fighters, and bombers...

So many iterations of plane engines were developed "on the fly" during WWII.  It's staggering to think of the speed at which this was done.

As you can see from the "logo" on this plane, baseball team names weren't the only things that reflected cultural attitudes of the time...

This a 3-dimensional image. Get your 3D glasses ready!

Here is a bomber!
This 4-engine plane model is one of many small replicas at Planes of Fame. Some are the only representations left of aircraft that were scrapped after the war.  The metal was needed for other purposes.
Experimental  jet.
